What is your relationship with health and fitness?
You deserve to have fun and move through the world without shame.
You will like working with me if you:
01 — Have tried gyms and trainers before but it all felt so douche-y.
OMG WHYYYYYY?!!! Why is the douche-factor so high when you walk into a gym? You can feel it. You can practically smell it. I just can’t with the the outfits, the grunting, the shirtless wonders… the judging! NOPE! You get to just be you here.
02 — Have dabbled in lots of “healthy” trends but never enjoyed or really got into any of it.
Paleo, keto, intermittent fasting, celery juice, hot yoga, HIIT… Is it high reps/low weight or low reps/high weight? Could someone please explain to me wtf exactly is BOOTY camp?!! Can’t I just do a mix of everything wearing regular old shorts and a t-shirt and be good? (The answer is yes.)
03 — Know that fitness and overall health is important but all the “brands” of fitness seem to focus on how you look instead of who you are.
If I see another “bikini body” or “summer slim down” advertisement my eyes might roll so far back in my head they get stuck. You KNOW that being thin is not better but it’s hard to actually believe it when it is all you see and hear in marketing. Trust me, being skinny does not necessarily mean you are healthy and it CERTAINLY doesn’t necessarily mean you are happy. This is what we are after: HAPPY AND HEALTHY. All bodies welcome.
04 — Just want to be able to do cool shit.
Climb that mountain. Do a pullup. Run with your dog. Do community service that requires physical labor. Ride a bike. Go surfing. Not die rock climbing. Help a friend move to their new home. Plant a garden. Carry everything in from the car in one trip! Life is full of fun things to do and you don’t want to miss out because you are not physically capable of something.
05 — Consider yourself a feminist and want to get strong AF to fight the patriarchy.
I’m mostly talking about a strong mind, but muscles are nice when it comes to smashing glass ceilings and Brett Kavanaugh. Gaining equality is tough work—training physically develops grit and stamina to fight the good fight.
What if you can get fit without having to change who you are? What if you can just be you… only stronger?
It’s true. You are awesome. This is just going to make you awesomer.
Ditch the douche. Come work with me for an empowered, fun, and no bullshit fitness experience.
From folks I have worked with…
“I've been working with Kim for over 5 years. I could go on about her sparkling and encouraging personality, her ability to design hard yet FUN workouts, her competence to challenge yet not pressure you to test your limits, and her insistence to listen to one's body. But the most refreshing aspect of Kim's approach to fitness is her emphasis on not what your body can look like but what that body (and mind) is capable of doing.”
— Kirsten I.
“From Day 1 I knew Kim was different from what I had come to expect from other trainers—her approach, knowledge, mission, passion. I immediately felt welcomed and part of the community.
Even after three years I continue to learn from her… About movement, the human body (and mind), lifts, and more. Her wealth of knowledge blows me away and I always come away knowing more than when I came in.
She goes deep—not just reciting directions, but explaining WHY keeping her cue is important and efficient. The WHYs are huge for me.
In addition to her knowledge, her passion for movement, strength, community, and health makes sessions fun, interesting, and substantial. Okay, so burpees and star jumps are never fun for me, but I still like doing them (if that makes sense).
I really appreciate how she applies typical—and not so typical—'gym' moves to real life. I can't tell you how many times I still think about our sessions when I'm lifting a bag of dog food, reaching up for a dish, carrying my groceries, or even just walking down the street. My daily movement feels stronger, fluid, more conscious, varied, and more 'natural' and holistic thanks to all I learned and practiced with Kim.
She fosters an atmosphere of support and acceptance. When I might have felt self-conscious and awkward (hello tattered tee-shirts and tripod transitions), I felt fine.
And she wraps this all up in humor and good-naturedness (ALL the time—how the hell do you do that?)—awesome!”

“Do yourself a favor and train with Kim! I have worked with her for over three years I have grown so much personally in those years. I learned to stop making exercise about how I looked and instead I learned the joy of strength and peace that comes from quality movement. For me, she was the perfect balance of challenge and unconditional acceptance. She's easy to talk to and is a wealth of information. She loves what she does because of the relationships she builds with her clients. Sign up with her - your body and your mind will thank you!”
